How to Benchmark Controller Performance

There are many different possible ways one may choose to benchmark the controller.  We will document new benchmarking tools here as they become available.

  • Cbench (New), a popular controller benchmarking tool, has been used by many to test the highest packet-in handling rates a controller can handle.

Different controller configurations would result in different benchmark results.  Below documents one of the configurations we have used to benchmark floodlight.
